why i'm starting this blog.

i guess i want to join the fun. i have always liked nail polish but only recently have i started loving it. it started with a festive bottle of China Glaze "Orange Marmalade" for Halloween 2009...i'd never really tried high quality lacquers and was thrilled by how long my manicure lasted compared to my old drug store polish manicures. soon i'd bought more polishes and invested in some Orly Bonder rubberized base coat and Seche Vite fast dry top coat.

i started looking at polish blogs online and came across the most beautiful polish i'd ever seen, Sally Hansen HD "Opulent Cloud". i went on a hunt for it and finally found it (two bottles in fact), and i've been hooked on polishes ever since.


since then i've amassed a small but delightful collection of polishes that seems to grow weekly. i try a lot of colours, but i don't keep all of them. i return or trade a lot of the polishes i buy! i have very pink-toned fair skin and so finding complimentary polish colours can be tricky. i'm not a brand elitist and i love colours, so i hope i can write a worthwhile blog about the polishes that tickle my fancy!
