Revlon Top Speed "Royal"

i say, "i don't even like blue polish," and it's true. blue almost never suits me. but when i saw this cobalt jelly, i decided it was cool enough to give it a shot. i did two coats, but it could have used three. it's a bright yet dark blue that leans toward violet. it has a semi-matte finish and needs a top coat to look glossy.

i decided to spice it up a little with Hard Candy "Break Up" glitter polish. it has small rainbow iridescent hexagonal glitter plus tiny rainbow specks. the iridescent stuff is pretty much all i like. i did one coat and topped it off with Seche Vite.

coincidentally, this combination matches my new handbag really well.

  1. Oh my gosh Break Up is amazing! I am trying to be very careful about what polishes I put on my lemming list since my shelves are overflowing, but this one makes it! Is it still available at Walmart?

P.S. I found your blog through MUA.

  3. Hey Lindsay it's Eleanor (diamondnails on lj, I know Casey W.) Where is that handbag from? I love it! Oh and I love the blog concept in general I'm making a shopping list going through your posts. I have about a dozen polishes but they're all OPI... need to break away from my brand loyalty.

  4. hi Eleanor! the handbag is Franco Sarto that i found at Ross (and also Marshall's) a couple months ago. thanks for the compliment on my blog! there are definitely good non-OPI brands, but OPI is still queen of the polishers
