Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Salon "Midnight In NY"

this polish was released in Spring 2010 in the same collection as "Hidden Treasure". i found "Midnight In NY" recently at a drugstore and debated on whether to buy it. it's a black creme with rainbow sparkles. the sparkles in it are VERY subtle, but i really like this polish. it looks awesome on me as well, which is always a good thing.
it took 3 coats to eliminate bald patches but the formula was pretty good. i love the big, wide brushes sometimes when they don't have stray hairs...and my brush does, so i may try to trim it.

  1. I like the subtle shimmer. Too bad it was 3 coats, most of the polishes I have from Sally Hansen's salon line are 1 or 2 coaters!

  6. I have this polish too! It's so pretty! I wish the glitter was more visible but, nevertheless it's very pretty - especially when the sun hits it to show of the sparkly. I wonder what it would look like if some spectraflair holo pigment was added to it.

  7. Kellie! thanks for the comment. it is a pretty polish but not rainbowy enough! i think adding Spectraflair would be a waste because it's a creme formula and wouldn't have enough translucency for the pigment to shine through :(
