week of pink shorties

i recently hacked off my nails after two of them broke. i didn't want to draw attention to how short they were, so i decided to go through some of my untried pinks. first up was OPI "Cozu-melted In the Sun", a sheer golden peach-pink glass fleck. my bottle is black label as i got it in a swap. the formula is great and it's a very flattering subtle shade that i love. i saw it in stores and kept looking at it before i decided i might as well try to get my paws on it.
it's actually very similar to a polish i used to wear long before i was ever "into" polish, CoverGirl "Starry Pink". however, "Starry Pink" is less flattering on me as it is a cooler pink glass fleck...now i know what looks good on me!

next is Orly "Opal Hope". this one was untried for a long time even though i love it. i just generally choose more 'exciting' polishes to wear.

it is a neutral pink with blue-green iridescence and some larger shimmering particles. a very girly colour, though not uninteresting. it needed 3 coats to be opaque
you can see the iridescence better under my sun lamp light!

last is Jessica "Sherbet" which i got randomly in a swap. i don't regret it though, it's gorgeous! a cooler pink with golden shimmer...mmm.

overall i thoroughly enjoyed my week of pink shorties!

  2. These are all gorgeous! I love the delicate duochromy-ness (not a word!) of them.
