Zoya "Kotori" and "Zara"

my past two NOTDs are "Kotori" and "Zara". the prior i got in the Zoya Facebook giveaway along with "Charla" (kept) and "Shivon" (swapped), while the latter i purchased a few months ago.
i got "Kotori" knowing that it's sheer, but it's so pretty. it looks like a bluer version of OPI "Midnight Blue Glitter" (like "Midnight Blue Glitter", "Kotori" is great for layering). it took 3+ coats to get rid of bald patches but the formula is thin and dries quickly so i didn't mind the extra work. it was very flattering on me, especially for a blue.

these photos are under my sun lamp light. i find sunlight can sometimes be too bright for glitters and make photos come out overexposed.
check out that shrinkage! yeah, i'm back on the Seche Vite. i'm nearly out of Nubar Diamont and it's gone goopy and i'm too lazy to thin it at the moment.

on to "Zara"! what a beautiful polish. the base is a warm lilac and it has golden iridescence AND subtle multi-coloured shimmer.

*dreamy sigh* it reminds me of a sunset. the formula was ideal. 2 coats to opacity since the iridescence helps reflect light...perfect consistency, wonderful Zoya brush. so far it isn't shrinking at the tips...*crossing fingers*

  2. i had to use 5 coats of kotori when i used it then used sv (which is gooping up on me atm) and the shrinkage made my nail look super lumpy and deformed.

  3. Seche Vite has some sort of vendetta against Zoya, it seems..

  4. Lesley: yes, Zoya is an expert of getting into our wallets.
meag: that sucks! i think i'm going to try Kotori again with Poshe. the SV i used was almost new and i still got shrinkage
Kendal: SV must be jealous of Zoya's beauty and B3Fness
Nicole: isn't it?? Zoya did good
